This site covers health, safety, and money - topics where being wrong has consequences. Our standards:

Sourcing

  • Statistics come from primary sources: NHTSA, IIHS, CDC, state DMVs, and peer-reviewed research. We link to the source, not to a blog that cited it.
  • Product claims (fall detection accuracy, crash-detection behavior) are checked against manufacturer documentation and independent testing where available.
  • When evidence is thin or contested, we say so instead of picking a confident-sounding answer.

Reviews and comparisons

  • We evaluate products on features, real cost (including required subscriptions), and fit for the reader's situation.
  • Commission rates never determine rankings. Where we have a material relationship with a manufacturer, we disclose it on the page.
  • Prices and program terms change; each buying guide lists its last-checked date, and top guides are re-verified at least twice a year.

Health and safety boundaries

  • We are not a medical, legal, or insurance service. Guides explain options and point to qualified professionals.
  • Every emergency-related page directs readers to 911 first.
  • We never present a device or app as a replacement for emergency services.

Updates and corrections

  • Each page shows its last-reviewed date. Substantive corrections are noted on the page.
  • Readers can report errors via our contact page; we respond to correction requests within a few business days.

AI use

We may use writing tools for drafts and research organization. Every published page is written, fact-checked, and approved by a human editor, and safety-critical steps are verified against primary sources.
